Part of Green Township, Covedale is one of the many Cincinnati suburbs that are in Hamilton County. It’s a great area in which to live; however, I believe it’s the first suburb of The Queen City I’ve run into that isn’t rated an A+ overall by the source I’m using those grades neighborhoods. That doesn’t mean it gets a bad grade though. In fact, its overall grade is an A-, and many of the individual categories aren’t much different than the other popular suburbs of Cincinnati.

Covedale is great for families, getting an A, even though many of the suburbs get an A+ in that category. Approximately 86 percent of people that live in Covedale are homeowners, which means only about 14 percent are renters. The average or median rent is about $1000 a month, and the average home value is about $155k. That’s a little lower than most of the other suburbs.

Covedale ranks a little above average for places to live in Ohio, but it’s not up there with the rest of the Cincinnati suburbs. It should be mentioned though that the other suburbs create a high standard, so Covedale is worth a look. You can search listings, and you can certainly find some great buys on properties. There are some of the other suburbs that have median home values of right around $300k.

That’s a significant difference, double the value in fact. It really comes down to what you want and expects out of a neighborhood. Living close to Cincinnati is going to be great, but you do want to make sure that you pick the right neighborhood for you and your family. There are so many communities in and around The Queen City that you really want to take a good look.

I see a listing for a 3 bedroom 1 bath single family home with a brick exterior for $45k. Now I bet that gets you to look at properties in Covedale, even if for a moment. You’re going to run across some properties that seem like steals. That tells you though that even in other suburbs with higher median home values, you’re going to find great deals.
